On the banks of Bhagirathi lived the famous Rani Bhavani (1716-1795) who had built this Charbangla Temple in Baronagar. The word Char means FOUR. Built in 1760. This is a small square arena fenced by Four massive temples. It is a dochala hut shaped temple. Each temple has three doors with three Shiva icons inside. Scenes from Hindu epics are depicted on the walls of these temple which are finest example of Bengal Terracotta work.
