Pancha Bingshati Ratna Temple at Sonamukhi

The number of Turrets have been raised to 25 ( Twenty Five ) in this temple. The tiny double storied Sridhara Temple at Sonamukhi ( 1845 A.D. ) in Bankura is a single entry edifice bearing cluster of Twenty Five turrets in the first floor itself having the central turret raised distinctly ahead of others. The temple is profusely ornamented in all four sides with clear dimensional TERRACOTTA sculptures around.

Sonamukhi(Bankura) Sridhar Temple is a 25 ratna temple, only in Bankura district built by Kanai Rudra, a member of weaver community, in 1845 A.D. Excellent terracotta plaques in all four sides & pillars being covered with plaques too.
